Dr. Alan R. Kiefer grew up knowing that he wanted to be a healthcare provider. His brother-in-law and best friend was a dentist, and Alan saw how much he enjoyed his work while providing a real service to his patients and the community. Wanting his life to have the type of impact, Alan also entered the field of dentistry. After working in California and service in the United States Navy, Alan moved back to his hometown of Wooster with his wife so they could raise their children in this community's family-friendly environment. We have a family dental practice eager to provide you and your family with the best in dental care. We treat patients from three-year-old children to patients in the late nineties. In addition to traditional dental care, such as teeth cleanings, fillings, oral surgery and root canals, we also specialize in esthetic dentistry. In past years, dentistry has been focused on repairing damage. In our office, we are prevention-oriented, and work with you to prevent problems before they start, arresting current problems, and reversing the damage caused by past problems. As part of our prevention campaign, and to encourage children to practice good dental hygiene, we have "Dr. Kiefer's No Cavity Club" where we place photographs of children who have no cavities when they come in for their check-up.

Our staff is the biggest and best asset you'll find at Wooster Dental. We have an excellent group of people who are very adept at putting our patients at ease. Due to the skills and compassion shown by our staff, we not only have a large number of patients who have stayed with the practice over the years, but others who come from out of state for all their dental needs.

As a team, we continue to improve our services by taking continuing education courses and utilizing the latest in high-tech dental care. We use computer-assisted education devices in most of our examination rooms, DVDs that can answer your questions about many dental procedures, and intra oral that allow patients to see what is happening in their own mouths. We strive to incorporate new technology into our daily treatment of patients.

In the late eighties, we moved into a new office that was professionally designed and decorated with original watercolors that were painted by my wife to make your dental visit an enjoyable experience.
