Bill Lister grew up in a family that earned its livelihood from the plumbing trade. As a young man of seventeen, Bill began a ten year career in the construction industry as an electrician before going to work for a company that installed battery back-up systems and generators. After thirteen years, the company went out of business and Bill was faced with a major decision. Most people would wonder what to do next, but Bill had already begun the next chapter in his life. By what some would call pure luck, Bill had started his own company on a part-time basis just six months before he was laid off.

Bill and his wife Donna attend Medina Assembly of God. Bill had always trusted the Lord to provide him with work, and he believed that God would direct his company in the way it should go. Donna began to pray about the name for the new company, and when they found the passage in Psalms 37:4 that says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart", they knew the name for the company they had founded in January 1990 was to be DeLight Electric & Plumbing. We visited with Bill recently, and listened as he spoke of the services his company offers;

DeLight Electric & Plumbing offers a full line of electrical and plumbing services to the residential and commercial markets. In addition to small jobs and repair services, I sell, service, and install generators, battery back-up systems and lightening protection units for computers, and hot water tanks. I'm licensed as a general contractor in the City of Medina, and an authorized dealer for Gillette and Coleman Power Mate generator systems. I carry LTI Power Systems' battery back-up systems and equipment, and the Falcon line of UPS systems for computers.

I run a one-man company, so you're working directly with the owner of the company. I know what it takes to do the job, and I'm particular about how things need to be done to achieve the best results and for the safety of everyone concerned.
