The Battery House has been putting a charge into Wooster area residents lives since the early 1980s. Founded by Homer Schmidt, the business was purchased by Bob Bricker in 1997 after he retired from Rubbermaid. Bob had always bought the batteries for Rubbermaid's buildings and grounds department from Homer and when he learned that The Battery House was for sale, he didn't hesitate. We wouldn't handle anything less.

When helping our customers find the right battery, we look to see what the manufacturer of the vehicle specifies as their minimum requirements for cold cranking amps. Cold cranking amps are the amps that the battery will deliver at zero degrees and we always make sure we give our customers batteries with at least that many cold cranks. We do free charging system tests for everybody that comes in to make sure that you actually need a battery instead of an alternator or other part and any battery we don't have in stock, we can have in three to four days.
